The guestion most asked

Postby Roger Hall » Tue Dec 13, 2005 9:44 pm

The question we are most asked is how did the Ragged Ridge Line of redbones come to be and how long have you been hunting the same line of redbones.

Brent's Dad Don Posey started the Ragged Ridge line of Redbones back in 1962. With a female called Ramblin Moonlite Rose. She was Blakesleys Northern Joe and Pun Jab the Great breeding. Over the years we fell we have added the blood of the greatest redbone stud dogs of their time to are program. Hunter's Timber Chopper, Timber Chopper Jr., Bennett's Swing Red Rock, Moran's Magic, Captain and Hickory,Miller Valley Woodpecker,Pokey Bill, Famous Amos, Hayes Ace, Henning's Chief, Dawns Timber Jack and Melton's Fireball.

As you can see CD and Jynx are no accident. They are bred to be what they are good coondogs that produces good coondogs. They are producing some of the hardest hunting, fastest starting pups you will find in the redbone breed today.

If you are looking for a good stud dog to breed your good female to a pup, finished or started dog give us a call or e-mail we may be able to help you out.

We are getting some outstanding reports on pups out of CD when we cross Fireball females back to him. If you have a good Fireball female you are looking to breed you need to take a good hard look at Dual Grand Ch. Ragged Ridge CD. CD will help you take the guess work out of weather it will work or not.

Ragged Ridge CD pups

Postby Roger Hall » Tue Feb 21, 2006 3:12 pm

Ragged Ridge CD is getting close to having his 100 pups on the ground. His oldest pups are three years old. Most of his pups are between 6 months and 18 months old. I have lost track of a few of his pups. But I have yet to get a report on a CD pup that is shy acting, will not go hunting or will not tree. Every pup out of CD that has been given a chance has run and treed on it's own by the time it was a year old.

There are CD pups in several different states around the country. Watch for a CD pup coming to a hunt near you in the next year or two.

If you have a good female and want to raise some good pups bring her to see CD. He will do his part to produce some good acting pups.

Good Hunting and keep'em Red

Kill season is in full swing around the country and we are getting alot of great reports on CD's pups. This is the first good season that alot of CD's pups have got put on them and the owners are real pleased with how their CD pup is progressing. We are getting alot of reports that they are running and treeing on their own and that they are getting hunted by there self's. A lot of dogs will run and tree with other dogs but if you want that special dog you have to hunt it by it's self. So keep up the good work and thanks for all of the good reports. It helps us here at Ragged Ridge Kennels to know we are on the right track. We are doing are very best to breed the best Redbones possable.

We are going to raise a couple litters of pups this year. If you are one of those folk's that would love to have a nice red dog if you could fine one. Get in contact with us I know we can help.

If at anytime you are not 100% happy with a pup you get from us return it in good health and we will give you your money back or replace it with another pup out of a different cross.

Price $200. either sex, $50.00 deposit to hold your pup till it's ready to go.

Different Bloodlines

Postby Roger Hall » Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:33 pm

One on the question we are asked a lot is what bloodlines in crossing good on the Ragged Ridge strain of Redbones. If you have females out of these bloodlines you need to take a hard look at breeding them to CD or Jynx it's working.

Henning's Chief
Hayes Ace
Timber Jack
OutLaw Moon
Miller Valley Woodpecker
Little Man
Fireball
Brown's OK Twister
Yellow River
Stepp's Little Pepper
Night Nite Moon Light Kate
Mitchell Bennett's line if Redbones

If you have a female that has these dogs in there back ground and you breed to CD or Jynx you are going to get some real nice dogs it's working.

We are going to be breeding two real nice coon dogs to CD this year as soon as they come in heat. If you are interested in a good pup let us know. These won't last long some are already spoken for.
